Fighting for survival

My determination is my greatest strength
Beyond that I have no exit from this rollercoaster
It goes up and down, and I with it
Surfing like surfing the tide but without escape
And love,
Love keeps me from quitting the rollercoaster, it keeps me on this rollercoaster
Even when hate tells me to beg for mercy at any cost as I plunge into the depths of despair
A despair that can only be endured
Like waiting on a storm to pass
And every plateau that I embark upon I do so with a liquid gold feeling of utter gratitude pulsing through my veins,
And it sparkles like a beautiful diamond
Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you
And I hold onto that feeling so ferociously
With a rigid grip, I am so determined not to let it go
I have survived it again
And I will survive it again

Snail migration

One of the nicest things about having lots of rainy weather is seeing snails out and about. I don't particularly like snails (mind you, I don't dislike snails either), but seeing so many of them chugging along the footpath always brings a smile to my face. The baby snails are especially lovely.

I always try to mind where I walk so I don't smoosh them.
